Frequently asked questions

How do I convert HEX to RGB?

A HEX code writes the red, green and blue values in base 16. For example, #1F3FD6 means rgb(31, 63, 214). Paste the code into the box and every equivalent is calculated automatically.

What's the difference between HSB and HSL?

Both use hue and saturation; HSB (HSV) measures brightness while HSL measures lightness. Photoshop's color picker uses HSB, whereas CSS uses HSL. The tool shows both.

Will the CMYK value print exactly like this?

No. The CMYK shown here is a general calculation without a color profile. For exact print results, convert in Photoshop with your printer's profile (e.g. FOGRA39) and request a proof.

Why don't I see the screen color picker?

Picking colors from the screen (EyeDropper) is currently supported only by Chromium-based desktop browsers such as Chrome and Edge. In other browsers you can pick colors from an image.
