Frequently asked questions

How do you make a seamless carousel?

The design is made as one piece as wide as all the slides together, then split into equal-width slides. Posted in order as a single carousel, the image continues seamlessly as people swipe.

In what order should I post grid tiles?

Instagram shows the newest post at the top left, so posting starts with the bottom-right tile. The tool numbers the files 01, 02, 03… in that order; just post them starting with 01.

Which ratio should I choose?

4:5 (1080×1350) takes up the most space in the feed. Because the profile grid now shows posts at 3:4, choose 3:4 (1080×1440) tiles for grid projects so they line up seamlessly on your profile.

How many images can a carousel have?

Instagram allows up to 20 images in one carousel post. Every slide is shown at the first slide's ratio, so all pieces are generated at the same size.
