Frequently asked questions

How do you create a harmonious color palette?

By using relationships on the color wheel: analogous colors sit next to each other, complementary colors face each other, and triadic colors are evenly spaced. The tool follows these rules and keeps lightness balanced.

How many colors should a brand palette have?

For most brands, 1-2 primary colors, 1 accent and 2-3 neutrals (light and dark) are enough. Fewer colors make a more consistent, memorable visual identity.

What is OKLCH and why use it?

OKLCH is a color space designed around human perception. Colors with the same lightness value actually look equally light, so the generated palettes are more balanced.

How can I share a palette?

The colors are saved in the page address. Share it with "Copy link" and the other person sees the same palette.
