Frequently asked questions
What size should an Instagram post be?
For a portrait post that takes up the most space in the feed, 1080 × 1350 pixels (4:5) is recommended. Use 1080 × 1080 for square posts and 1080 × 1920 pixels for Stories and Reels.
Why are my images cropped on my Instagram profile grid?
Instagram shows posts on the profile grid in a 3:4 ratio. Keeping key elements in the center, or exporting at 1080 × 1440 pixels, prevents unwanted cropping.
What is the YouTube thumbnail size?
The recommended YouTube thumbnail size is 1280 × 720 pixels (16:9). Channel banners are 2560 × 1440 pixels, with a safe area of 1546 × 423 pixels in the center that shows on every device.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Cropping and exporting happen entirely in your browser; your images never leave your device.
