Frequently asked questions
Which browsers does it work in?
Trimming uses the browser's built-in video encoding (WebCodecs). It works in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox.
Does quality drop?
The video is re-encoded so the cut points are exact. The tool uses a high quality setting, and for most videos the difference isn't visible.
How large a video can I trim?
Processing happens in your device's memory, so the limit depends on your device. Videos up to a few hundred megabytes work on most computers; very long videos can be slow on phones.
Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. The video is processed only in your browser and never sent anywhere.
