Frequently asked questions
Is my photo sent to a server?
No. The AI model is downloaded from our site to your browser on first use, and processing happens entirely on your device. Your photo is never uploaded.
What's the difference between the Fast and High quality models?
The Fast model is 4.6 MB and opens quickly on phones. The High quality model is 44 MB and separates edges and fine details better. Both are loaded from the browser cache after the first download.
Why is the result sometimes imperfect?
The model can make mistakes with very fine details such as hair and fur, semi-transparent objects, or subjects that are similar in color to the background. You can fix these areas easily with the brush's Erase and Restore modes.
Which format should I download?
Choose PNG or WEBP for a transparent background. JPG doesn't support transparency, so a transparent result downloaded as JPG gets a white background.
